Sicoob Pernambuco is a credit cooperative (cooperativa de crédito) operating in the northeastern states of Pernambuco and Paraíba, Brazil. It is a singular cooperative that is part of the larger Sicoob System (Sistema de Cooperativas de Crédito do Brasil), the largest credit cooperative system in Brazil.
Sicoob Pernambuco serves thousands of cooperative members (cooperados) across more than 40 service points throughout its operating region. Unlike traditional banks where customers are clients, members of Sicoob Pernambuco are cooperative owners who participate democratically in decision-making and share in the cooperative's financial results.
