Bank of Khartoum is Sudan's oldest and largest Islamic financial institution. With a balance sheet of approximately USD 2 billion, the bank operates as a universal bank serving corporate, retail, SME, and microfinance business segments. It is headquartered in Khartoum and employs over 2,600 people across more than 150 branches and cash offices throughout Sudan.
The bank is primarily owned by private sector investors from the GCC and Middle East. Dubai Islamic Bank is the largest shareholder, with other institutional shareholders including the Islamic Development Bank Jeddah, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, and Sharjah Islamic Bank.
