Local Bank

Local Bank is a community development financial institution and minority depository institution based in Hulbert, Oklahoma. As the only Native American, female-owned financial institution in the United States, the bank serves underserved markets and populations across northeastern Oklahoma. With approximately $412 million in assets and five branch locations, Local Bank operates as a certified CDFI providing credit, financial services, and financial literacy programs to rural and minority communities.

Founded in 1907, the same year Oklahoma became a state, the bank has deep roots in the Cherokee Nation. Local Bank is mission-driven, focusing on community reinvestment and serving populations often overlooked by traditional financial institutions.
