Bancoob

Bancoob, officially known as Banco Cooperativo do Brasil S/A, is a private commercial cooperative bank that serves as the central banking institution for the Sicoob system (Sistema de Cooperativas de Crédito do Brasil), the largest credit cooperative system in Brazil. As a closed capital corporation, Bancoob is controlled by fourteen regional credit cooperative centrals and operates under Brazilian banking regulations. The bank provides specialized financial services to credit unions within the Sicoob network, which collectively serves over 8 million members across more than 4,600 service points throughout Brazil.

Unlike traditional shareholder-driven banks, Bancoob operates on cooperative principles, prioritizing member welfare and community development over profit maximization.
