Banque d'Investissement pour les Jeunes (BIJE), or Youth Investment Bank, is a specialized commercial bank in Burundi dedicated to financing economic development projects planned and initiated by young entrepreneurs. BIJE targets both educated and non-educated young people, particularly those organized in cooperatives and associations throughout the country. The bank was established with a capital of 10 billion BIF to address youth unemployment and support youth-led business initiatives.
