Sicoob Metrop­olitano

Sicoob Metropolitano is a credit cooperative (cooperativa de crédito) operating in Brazil as part of the Sistema de Cooperativas de Crédito do Brasil (Sicoob), the largest credit cooperative system in the country. The cooperative serves over 138,000 members across the states of Paraná and São Paulo, focusing on providing financial inclusion and accessible financial services to micro and small business owners, entrepreneurs, and local communities. As a mutual credit cooperative, it operates on cooperative principles where members are both owners and users of the institution, participating in democratic governance and sharing in the financial results.

With more than R$ 341 million in social capital and 827 employees, Sicoob Metropolitano operates 94 service points throughout its geographic area. The cooperative originated within the Commercial and Business Association of Maringá (ACIM) to address the needs of small and medium-sized merchants who were underserved by traditional banks.
