The Co-ope­rative Bank

The Co-operative Bank is a British retail and commercial bank based in Manchester, England. Established to serve co-operators and co-operatives following the principles of the Rochdale Pioneers, the bank evolved into a mid-sized high street bank operating throughout mainland UK.

Despite its name and heritage, the bank has operated as a public limited company (plc) since the 1970s and is no longer owned by The Co-operative Group. The bank maintains approximately 50 branches across the UK and serves both retail and business customers.
