Bank of New Zealand (BNZ)

Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) is one of New Zealand's four largest banks, commonly referred to as the "Big Four" alongside ANZ, ASB, and Westpac. As a universal bank, BNZ provides comprehensive retail, business, and institutional banking services through a nationwide network of approximately 180 branches and partner centres across New Zealand. With over 5,500 employees, BNZ holds a market share of approximately 19.1% as of June 2022, making it the second-largest bank operating in New Zealand.

Since 1992, BNZ has operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of National Australia Bank (NAB), while retaining local governance through an independent New Zealand board of directors. This structure allows BNZ to maintain its distinct New Zealand identity while benefiting from the resources of a major Australian banking group.
