Banco do Brasil

Banco do Brasil is a Brazilian government-controlled financial services company and the second largest banking institution in Brazil and Latin America. As the oldest bank in Brazil and among the oldest banks in continuous operation worldwide, it holds a strong leadership position in retail banking. The bank is listed on the B3 stock exchange in São Paulo, with the Brazilian government maintaining majority control through 50% ownership.

Since 2000, Banco do Brasil has been one of the four most profitable Brazilian banks, alongside Itaú Unibanco, Banco Bradesco, and Banco Santander. The institution serves as a key mechanism for the Brazilian government to stabilize financial markets and finance public programs.
