Zimbabwe Women's Microf­inance Bank

Zimbabwe Women's Microfinance Bank is a government-owned deposit-taking microfinance institution in Zimbabwe. Licensed by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, the bank specializes in providing financial services to communities underserved by conventional commercial banks, with a particular focus on empowering rural women and women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The bank is 100% owned by the Zimbabwean government through the Ministry of Women's Affairs, Gender and Community Development.

As the first women's bank in Southern Africa, Zimbabwe Women's Microfinance Bank serves as a parastatal financial institution dedicated to economic and social empowerment. While the bank serves customers regardless of gender, its core mission centers on delivering accessible financial services to previously unbanked and underbanked women throughout Zimbabwe.
