Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) is a member-owned, not-for-profit federal credit union based in Fresno, California. As of September 2024, EECU serves more than 392,000 members with over $5.1 billion in assets, making it the 87th largest credit union in the United States, the 16th largest in California, and the largest locally-based credit union in the central San Joaquin Valley.
Originally established to serve educators, EECU has expanded its field of membership to include school employees, students, members of school organizations, employees of select employer groups including Valley Children's Healthcare, St. Agnes Hospital, City of Fresno, and household members of existing members. The credit union operates as a cooperative where each member is an equal owner with voting rights in annual elections.
