Gpativa is a credit cooperative (cooperativa de economia e crédito mútuo) that serves employees of Grupo Pão de Açúcar, one of Brazil's largest retail groups. Originally founded to serve employees of Grupo Pão de Açúcar, the cooperative expanded its mission and changed its name in 2021 to serve employees of Grupo Casino, Grupo Pão de Açúcar, and Grupo Assaí. The institution provides financial services exclusively to its member-employees, operating on cooperative principles of mutual assistance and shared ownership.
