Infras­tructu­re Development Bank of Zimbabwe (IDBZ)

The Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe (IDBZ) is a government-owned development finance institution operating in Zimbabwe. The bank specializes in providing long and medium-term funding for key infrastructure projects across sectors including transportation, housing, energy, water and sanitation, and information communication technology (ICT).

As of January 1, 2024, the bank was officially renamed to Infrastructure and Development Bank of Zimbabwe (I&DBZ) under the Finance Act, 2023, to reflect its broader mandate of promoting developmental financing across all sectors of the Zimbabwean economy. The name change signifies the bank's expanded focus beyond infrastructure to include comprehensive development financing, private sector support, and climate finance initiatives.
