Banestes

Banestes (Banco do Estado do Espírito Santo S.A.) is a Brazilian state-owned bank and mixed-capital publicly traded company controlled by the government of Espírito Santo. As a universal bank, it serves as a key instrument for regional economic development in Espírito Santo state. With approximately 1.4 million clients and over 750 service points, Banestes holds the distinction of being the only financial institution with branches in all 78 municipalities of Espírito Santo.

The bank is listed on the B3 stock exchange under the ticker symbols BEES3 (ordinary shares) and BEES4 (preferred shares). The state of Espírito Santo holds approximately 92.37% of the bank's capital, while minority shareholders hold the remaining 7.63%. The Sistema Financeiro Banestes (Banestes Financial System) comprises the bank and three subsidiary companies: Banestes Seguros (insurance), Banestes Distribuidora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários (securities distribution), and Banestes Administradora, Corretora de Seguros, Previdência e Capitalização (insurance brokerage and pension administration).
