Southern Teachers & Parents FCU (ST P FCU)

Southern Teachers & Parents FCU (STPFCU) is a federally chartered credit union headquartered in Lacombe, Louisiana. Founded in 1935, it holds the distinction of being the largest HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) credit union in the nation. With approximately $827,000 in total assets and serving 293 members, STPFCU is a community-focused financial cooperative with deep roots in the Greater Baton Rouge area and Southern University.

The credit union was established by Southern University educators and community leaders during a time when financial opportunities were limited for many African Americans.
