Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) is a mid-sized universal bank and one of Germany's largest state-backed lenders. With total assets worth approximately EUR 356 billion and approximately 10,000 employees across 100 locations throughout Germany, LBBW is among the ten largest credit institutions in Germany by balance sheet size. The bank operates as a full-service and commercial bank, serving companies, retail customers, institutional clients, and savings banks across Germany and internationally.

LBBW maintains a unique public-sector ownership structure and fulfills the role of central bank for savings banks in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saxony. The bank is directly supervised by the European Central Bank (ECB) as a Significant Institution since 2014.
