Morning Star Federal Credit Union (TMSFCU)

Morning Star Federal Credit Union (TMSFCU) is a community-based federal credit union serving the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation in southeastern Montana. Established to address the critical lack of financial services in the region, TMSFCU is one of only four new federal credit unions chartered in 2022 and represents a milestone in tribal financial sovereignty. With approximately $2.4 million in assets and over 2,200 members, the credit union focuses on providing accessible financial services to an underserved, primarily Native American community.

The credit union holds a low-income designation from the NCUA, enabling it to serve members who live, work, worship, or attend school in Big Horn and Rosebud counties.
