Sicoob São Paulo is a central credit cooperative (Cooperativa Central de Crédito) operating within Brazil's Sicoob System, the country's largest cooperative financial network. As a central cooperative, Sicoob São Paulo coordinates and supports 14 affiliated singular credit cooperatives across multiple Brazilian states.
The institution serves over 533,000 cooperative members (cooperados) through more than 400 service points spread across 250+ municipalities. Unlike traditional banks, Sicoob São Paulo operates on cooperative principles, meaning members are both clients and owners who participate democratically in governance and share in the institution's financial results.
