Mountain Valley Federal Credit Union (Mountain Valley FCU) is a community-chartered federal credit union that serves Clinton and Essex counties in northeastern New York. Formerly known as Peru Federal Credit Union, the credit union has grown from its origins serving Peru Central School employees to a full-service financial institution with approximately 4,600 members and $57.5 million in assets. As of September 2025, Mountain Valley FCU members voted to merge with AmeriCU Credit Union, with the merger expected to be finalized by the end of 2025.
