Lower East Side People's Credit Union (LES People's FCU)

Lower East Side People's Credit Union (LES People's FCU) is a federally chartered, nonprofit financial cooperative that promotes economic justice and opportunity in New York City neighborhoods. Founded in 1986, this community development credit union serves predominantly low-income, immigrant, and other underserved communities across all five boroughs of New York City.

With approximately $85.9 million in assets and nearly 8,900 members as of Q3 2025, LES People's FCU is a nationally recognized leader in the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) field. The credit union has reinvested over $150 million in housing, business, and consumer loans back into the communities it serves.
