Machhapuchchhre Bank is a Class 'A' commercial bank in Nepal that was established as the first regional commercial bank from the western region of the country. Named after the famous Machhapuchchhre (fish-tailed) mountain peak in the Himalayan range, the bank has grown from its regional roots to become a full-fledged national-level commercial bank. With a paid-up capital of over NPR 12.08 billion, it operates 165 branch offices, 88 branchless banking units, 11 extension counters, and 199 ATMs across Nepal.
The bank is publicly listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange, with 51% ownership by the promoter group and 49% held by the general public.
