Coopernitro

Coopernitro is a Brazilian credit union (cooperativa de economia e crédito mútuo) operating as a non-profit financial institution. Established to serve employees of Cia. Nitro Química Brasileira and other registered companies, Coopernitro functions as a democratically managed cooperative governed by Law 5.764/71 and supervised by the Central Bank of Brazil (Banco Central do Brasil).

As a mutual credit cooperative, Coopernitro brings together members with a common bond—primarily employees of the historic Nitro Química chemical company and affiliated organizations. The institution operates on cooperative principles where members are simultaneously owners and users of financial services.
