As a mutual credit cooperative (cooperativa de economia e crédito mútuo), it operates as a not-for-profit financial institution focused on providing financial assistance and services to its members.
Founded in May 1969, Nescred has been serving the Nestlé family of employees for over 50 years. In 2024, the cooperative celebrated its 55th anniversary by revitalizing its visual identity and adopting the shortened name "Nescred" to better connect with the modern financial market.
