Standard Chartered Bank Uganda is an international commercial bank and the oldest financial institution in Uganda. Operating as Standard Chartered Bank Uganda Limited, it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank Group, a London-headquartered international banking conglomerate.
The bank serves large corporate clients, upscale retail customers, and medium to large business enterprises. As of December 2020, it was the third-largest commercial bank in Uganda by assets, with a total asset base of UGX 3.8 trillion (approximately US$1.072 billion) and shareholders' equity of UGX 937 billion (US$264 million).
