BBVA Compass was a major regional bank in the United States that operated from 2007 to 2021. Originally founded as Central Bank and Trust Company in Birmingham, Alabama in 1964, it evolved through multiple expansions and name changes before being acquired by Spain's Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) in 2007.

At its peak, BBVA Compass operated across seven Sunbelt states with approximately $91 billion in assets and 672 branches. The bank served retail customers, businesses, and corporate clients across Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, New Mexico, and Texas.
