About 1st Choice Credit Union in the United States
1st Choice Credit Union was a state-chartered, community-focused credit union headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Originally established to serve employees of Grady Memorial Hospital, the credit union grew to serve approximately 6,800 members with $30.6 million in total assets as of Q3 2025.
The credit union was designated as a low-income credit union and operated as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certified by the U.S. Department of the Treasury in January 2022. It was also recognized as a minority depository institution, serving Atlanta's communities of color.
