MUCODEC

MUCODEC (Mutuelles Congolaises d'Épargne et de Crédit) is the largest microfinance network in the Republic of the Congo. As a first-category microfinance establishment regulated by COBAC (Commission Bancaire d'Afrique Centrale), MUCODEC operates as a mutual credit cooperative network serving approximately 440,000 members across the country. The institution is structured around the mutualiste principle where members are both owners and clients, operating under the democratic model of "one person, one vote."

MUCODEC represents 92% of the microfinance sector in the Republic of the Congo. The network serves diverse segments of the Congolese population, including rural farmers, urban residents, merchants, artisans, micro-enterprises, SMEs, civil servants, retirees, and informal sector workers.
