Daitokyo Credit Cooperative

Daitokyo Credit Cooperative (大東京信用組合), commonly known as Daishin, is a regional credit cooperative (shinyo kumiai) serving Tokyo and its surrounding areas. As one of Japan's larger credit cooperatives, it operates as a member-owned, cooperative financial institution focused on serving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and local residents. The institution has grown significantly through strategic mergers and acquisitions over the decades.

Credit cooperatives in Japan are distinct from shinkin banks (credit unions), operating as fully non-profit, member-owned institutions that focus on very local areas with a strong emphasis on mutual assistance principles.
