Sicoob Metalcred is a Brazilian credit cooperative (cooperativa de crédito) affiliated with the Sistema de Cooperativas de Crédito do Brasil (Sicoob), the largest cooperative financial system in Brazil. Originally founded to serve metalworkers, it has evolved into a full-service financial cooperative offering services to both individuals and businesses through a "livre admissão" (open admission) model.
With over 23,000 members, Sicoob Metalcred operates as a not-for-profit financial institution regulated and supervised by the Central Bank of Brazil. The cooperative has significantly expanded through the incorporation of 12 other cooperatives throughout its history.
