CIBC has been holding Quadriga's clients money since January last year. I have been waiting on a withdrawal since late August 2018. CIBC is NOT crypto friendly!
Done many five figure transactions over the past six years to and from many different exchanges. I've never had any issues.
Funded Coinsquare via a CIBC Visa card, and withdrew $12,000 to a CIBC account with no issues. Seems crypto-friendly to me.
Buying crypto through Coinbase, no issue.
Was able to send $10K with interac etransfer to coinsquare with no problems
