Royal Bank of Canada refuses to allow purchases of crypto coins with West Jet credit card !!
Been with RBC 13 yrs, considering changing to a crypto friendly bank. Tried depositing into Coinbase w/ RBC Visa & it declined. Called them, on wait for 35 mins.. then they told me Bank has a policy against crypto....
allows paypal deposit and etransfers to shakepay to buy. does not allow coinbase debit purchases.
Account suspended for crypto related deposits
RBC recently announced it will no longer allow any crypto related purchases with any of their cards.
They seem to be on the fence about crypto but haven't out-rightly shut or freeze accounts like CIBC. They're crypto-friendly-ish as stated by another user. You can still buy crypto with your account funds and get money...
